Basic Writing Skills (Dutch)

The workshop gives an introduction to basic writing skills for the purpose of writing texts in the Dutch language. The basic rules of the language are discussed. The most common mistakes and sentences where the participants have the most difficulty are discussed. Through specific exercises, the participants at the end of the workshop have a guide with which they are able to write flawless texts and correct texts of other authors.

Presentation Skills

People having to make presentations, often learn how to present from others and are not systematically taught on the art of presenting. The result is the common death-by-power-point which we see in many business or sales presentations. This course contains many guidelines with lots of examples of good and bad slide designs. In addition to slides, a presenter needs to know how to capture an audience. The course contains many exercises for participants to learn the art of public speaking.

Assertiveness Skills

This course helps the participants to understand how to express themselves assertively in order to get what they want. In particular they will learn the differences between aggressive and assertive behavior, correct body language, what to say to get results, how to request, how to criticize and how to boost their confidence. The course contains a large number of practical exercises designed to increase the retention of the skills learned in this course.

Body Language (1)

This highly visual course on body language contains a large number of illustrations that describe various important body language cues. The gestures are grouped into a number of logical sessions covering different aspects of communication. The course contains a series of practical exercises to help the participants in mastering body language.

Body Language (2)

This course follows on from Body Language Part 1. This course has been designed with the same style going through a number of gestures cards explaining various body language signals. It focuses on power, politics, handling difficult people, group meetings, presentations, public speaking, harassment and similar topics. Many elaborate illustrations are provided that clearly show the body language and help the delegates to practice these gestures. Exercises and practical examples are provided to raise the retention rate among the participants.
